Drill pitch does the math
Canvas size = drills × pitch. Square drills are 2.5 mm and round are 2.8 mm — which shape you pick changes the numbers, and which one you should pick is covered in the square vs round drills guide. Planning a photo piece? Scale-wise, diamond painting sits closest to 10-count aida, so faces need room — 30×40 cm is a sensible minimum for a portrait.
Results
Totals are whole-canvas numbers. Buying loose drills per color? Your chart's drill key lists a count per DMC code — apply the same pad to each color.

計算機背後的算法：底圖尺寸 = 鑽數 × 鑽的間距。方鑽是 2.5mm（剛好每公分 4 顆），圓鑽是 2.8mm，所以同一張圖紙用圓鑽會稍微大一點。其他都是乘法：總鑽數、備用量，以及購買散鑽時換算成幾袋或幾克。
計算範例
30 × 40cm、方鑽的底圖：
- 鑽的格數：橫向 30 × 4 = 120；縱向 40 × 4 = 160
- 總鑽數：120 × 160 = 19,200
- 加上 20% 備用量：以 23,040 顆購買
- 換算成袋數：每袋 1,000 顆要 24 袋（每袋 2,000 顆則是 12 袋）
- 換算成克數：以每克 210–230 顆方鑽計算，約 100–110 克
同樣的底圖用圓鑽，大約是 107 × 143：2.8mm 的間距代表鑽數比較少、每顆稍大，鑽與鑽之間露出小小的底圖空隙，這對圓鑽來說很正常。要選哪一種形狀是另一個決定，方鑽與圓鑽指南（英文）有詳細說明。
怎麼看材料包的規格
材料包尺寸以公分標示，指的是貼鑽的設計區域，不是整張底圖。知道鑽形之後，規格上的公分數就能告訴你鑽數；購買客製材料包之前，這正是值得檢查的一點，因為在螢幕上看起來很美的預覽，做成 20 × 20cm 可能只是一片模糊的 6,400 顆鑽格。臉需要足夠的鑽：人像的合理最小尺寸是 30 × 40cm，先轉換你的照片，付錢之前就能誠實地看到任何尺寸的效果。
轉換十字繡圖紙
圖紙上一格就是一顆鑽，所以十字繡圖紙的針數尺寸可以直接放進這個計算機。以比例來說，鑽石畫最接近 10CT 艾達布：120 × 160 的圖紙在 10CT 上完成尺寸是 12 × 16 英吋，用方鑽則是 30 × 40cm。材料包圖例上的鑽色號是 DMC 色號，也就是十字繡繡友本來就在用的號碼；完整清單請看 DMC 鑽色號表。
購買鑽
