Presencia Finca Mouliné offers 321 colors in total (288 solid plus 33 variegated) of six-strand embroidery floss — this chart includes 219 of those with DMC and Anchor equivalents. The range is smaller than DMC (489) or Cosmo (500), but covers the core spectrum well and includes some distinctive shades — particularly in the warm earth tones and reds — that Presencia fans swear by.

About Presencia Finca

Presencia Hilaturas S.L. is a Spanish thread manufacturer producing the Finca line of embroidery threads. The mouliné floss is 100% extra-long-staple Egyptian cotton, mercerized for strength — the same raw material specification as DMC and Anchor. What sets Finca apart in practice is its reputation for smoothness. Stitchers who've tried it consistently describe it as silkier and less prone to tangling than DMC, with excellent dye saturation.

The floss is sold in 8-meter skeins (the same length as DMC), is six-strand and divisible, and works for cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, petit point, Hardanger, and Swedish/huck weaving.

Presencia makes a distinctive durability claim: all Finca mouliné colors are not just colorfast but bleach-fast — with only five exceptions (1163, 1166, 3802, 3810, and 3822). Those five are colorfast and run-fast but not bleach-fast. This level of specificity about which colors can withstand bleaching is unusual in the embroidery thread market and speaks to the brand's textile heritage.

In the US, Presencia threads are distributed by Colonial Needle Company. The brand also maintains an Etsy shop (PresenciaHilaturas) for direct-to-consumer sales.
