A canvas you can start the evening it arrives, made from a chart you’ve seen and approved, not one a machine guessed at.
You approve the chart first
Convert your photo, clean it up and fix anything you don’t like in the editor. What you see is what gets printed.
High-quality canvas, printed in color
Your design printed on needlepoint canvas in the mesh count you chart for, with each stitch’s color printed on its intersection, so the picture comes out the size you chose.
Bring your own thread
No thread in the box. The chart’s legend matches every color to a thread and calculates how much you need, so you can buy wool, floss or silk from the shop you like.

What a custom needlepoint kit costs
Custom needlepoint canvases vary widely in price: a printed canvas costs much less than a hand-painted one, and size, mesh count and the number of colors all add to the total. We haven’t set our price yet, and we’d like to land at the accessible end of that range.

When can I order a kit?
We don’t have a date yet. We’re deciding what to build next by how many people ask for it, so signing up here counts as a vote. When kits are ready, everyone on the list hears first, in one email.
How much will a custom needlepoint kit cost?
We haven’t set a price. That’s why the form asks what you’d pay. Prices for custom needlepoint canvases vary a lot: a printed canvas costs far less than a hand-painted one, and mesh count and size move the total. Thread isn’t part of it: the kit is the canvas only. We’d like to be at the accessible end.
Can I make the chart myself right now?
Yes, and for free. Stitchmate’s photo converter turns your picture into a needlepoint chart for the canvas mesh you pick, with thread colors matched and a stitch count for every color, so you can buy your own wool or floss. The only part that isn’t ready is printing the canvas and shipping the kit.
Which canvas mesh sizes will you offer?
The editor already supports 10, 12, 13, 14, 18, 22, 24 and 28 mesh. We don’t know yet which of those a kit will come in. 13 and 18 mesh are the most common, so we’d start there. Your sign-up from the editor tells us which size you charted.
Is thread or wool included?
No. The kit is a high-quality printed canvas only, with the color of every stitch printed on the canvas intersections. You choose and buy your own wool, floss or silk. The chart’s thread list tells you which colors and how much.
Will you send me other emails?
No, unless you tick the box for product news. Otherwise you get one email, when kits are ready. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Will you ship to my country?
We don’t know yet. Your answer helps there too: if lots of sign-ups come from one region, that’s where we start.
